Welcome to the Traditions of Jazz Club

Each session is a chance to connect, learn, and perform with a community of musicians who share a love for traditional jazz.

Our clubs are built around two core sessions:

Session 1

The Educational Workshop

Dig into the tunes — explore melody, harmony, rhythm, and improvisation techniques. You’ll learn from mentors in A Joyful Little Band, collaborate with other participants, and prepare for the performance.

Session 2

The Gig

Put it all together! The gig session is your opportunity to bring the music to life in a relaxed, performance setting. Friends, family, and community members are encouraged to attend and celebrate the music with us.

*Please plan to make a purchase to thank our host venue. This is meaningful etiquette and a gesture of gratitude.

What Traditions of Jazz provides:

Drum set, piano, microphones and sound system. We have comfortable seating, beverages and snacks at Syncopation Hall.
